Frequently asked questions 

 The minimum amount of photos you will receive will be 650 edited images. 

in fact, I will chase you for it. I want to know who you would like to have a photograph with or what you would like captured. I want you to be as specific and detailed as possible.

Therefore, I will be with you from the morning prep up to and including the evening reception. In real time if you are getting married at 2pm, I will be with you from around 10am and leave 10/10.30pm 

How long will you be with us?

The only way to tell the story of your day is to spend the whole day with you. 

Why do you do a pre wedding shoot?

the pre wedding shoot allows me to see how the two of interact as a couple and how affectionate you are.

 There are things you do as a couple that are unique to you. I want to see them so that I can look out for them on the big day. This time will also show you how I work as a photographer and what you can expect at the wedding. You have most likely never had someone taking your photo in this way and clients tell me that the pre-wedding shoot really helps them relax in front of camera.

What deposit do you require and when is the final balance due?

The deposit required is 50% of the total cost of your booking 

 I have been asked in the past, why I charge a 50% deposit. My reason is very simple. The moment you book me as your wedding photographer, I am 100% committed to you on that date. That day is all about you. I will begin preparations and work behind the scenes as soon as soon as the booking is confirmed. I ask that my clients show the same commitment to me and my business.   

How many photos can we expect to receive?

There is no upper limit and you will recieve all of the usable images from your wedding day. I will never make you choose on a certain amount. If an image satisfies the criteria and standards for my work you will recieve it

I will spend the majority of your day capturing those candid moments. There will be times when I take a more curated approach to set up certain shots, but other than this, your wedding images will be of people enjoying themselves naturally. 

What is your photography style?

I describe my photographic style as natural and candid with an artistic flair.

What are the prices of your services?

Some locations will require a modest travel fee. 

I offer a range of collections as well as a bespoke option

Do you charge travel fees?

Anything over two hours travel time will usually require overnight accommodation. Just let me know where you are getting married and I can advise you accordingly. For any destination weddings, flights and accommodation will need to be provided. 

The only acceptable answer to that question is yes

Do you have insurance?

I am fully insured with public liability and personal indemnity insurance.  Some venues may request to see proof of insurance from your suppliers. I am happy to supply these to you upon request. 
On a personal note, please make sure that you have taken out wedding insurance for your special day. 

The timeline for a completed collection is 2-4 weeks

When will we receive the photos?

This is for your images to be published onto your online album. If you choose to include a Handmade photo album, this will take longer to be completed

Can we change the package
once it is booked?

You definitely can

I go to great lengths to ensure I remain fit and healthy for my clients, but if the worst should happen and I cannot attend due to ill health, I have a network of wedding photographers who will be able to step in at short notice.

What happens if you cannot attend the wedding 

This is everyones worst nightmare including mine

Will we need to feed you?

Yes please 

This point is covered in my terms and conditions. It is a very long day for me and my assistant and we would be very grateful for a hot meal. If for any reason you can't accommodate this request please let me know in advance. 

Have you ever shot at our venue?

Even if I haven’t, I visit every venue before the wedding

Even if I have shot a wedding there before I will go back to have a look, because you just don’t know what might have changed. I don't leave anything to chance. On one occasion the venue were extending the main building which completely change the ideas I had for group photos, to avoid having scaffolding in the background!

can we request a list of photos

Once you have booked your package, you may want to add a photo album or indeed a second photographer, this is absolutely fine, but please let me know ASAP as my second photographers may be unavailable at short notice.
