A chance introduction at the national wedding show, lead to a very wet day in London with these two beautiful souls
Simon & Natalie
A wet and wonderful day with...
Let me just tell you straight off that these two helped create the best photo I have ever taken, but more on that in a second. I want you to imagine something. You're in a London hotel, getting ready for your wedding. Then...The fire alarm goes off and you are evacuated! Mother nature obviously heard the fire alarm and thought the hotel was indeed on fire so she sent lots and lots of rain in an attempt to put it out? In fact it rained all day non stop! But Simon and Natalie didn't care they were so happy all day! SO many smiles. The church was beautiful, but so dark inside and I wasn't allowed flash so that was a bit of a struggle, but we made it work. After the ceremony we made our way to Paternoster Sq and the Happenstance restaurant for the reception. More laughter, more smiles, more beautiful images. The speeches were hilarious and one of the Bridesmaids, who works in television, compiled a series of clips where various celebrities sent messages of love and congratulations. It was absolutely brilliant! Then came THAT photo. I had always wanted a photo on the steps of St Pauls and as it was just 50 yards away I couldn't resist. I asked Simon and Natalie, told them my idea, but also told them it was still raining. They didn't even hesitate. We went outside, I set the shot up and three shots later, we had it. A copy of that photo now hangs above my desk at home.
