This day was a little different from many of the weddings that I have shot before, because by the time this wedding had come around the Bride and Groom were already married (to each other, I hasten to add!)
Kate told me they were eloping to Las Vegas because in her words:
"we just want to be married to each other" which I think is absolutely beautiful.
So off they went! BUT...I decided this was an opportunity to do something special for this very special couple.
On the morning of their flight, I travelled to Gatwick airport and stood in the field at the end of the runway. When their plane took off, I snapped a few pics and by the time they arrived at their destination the photos were waiting for them!
When the wedding day finally came around it was amazing!
The venue was Gaynes Park in Essex and the day was just wonderful. It was a little bright and quite warm, but perfect nonetheless. Kate wore a beautiful dress and veil from Grace loves Lace finished off with a gorgeous flower crown.
The Groom wore a tailored Paul Smith black suit and each of them were wearing quite possibly the best wedding shoes I have ever shot. Kate said I do in Jimmy Choo and Steve chose a pair or black suede Christian Louboutins.
The wedding was simple, it was elegant. And I was provided with so many
beautiful images to capture.
Kate was serenaded down the aisle by her friend Michael and Steve couldn't contain his emotions when he saw her. She was a vision.
The rest of the day was interspersed with hilarious and emotional moments with so many being caught on camera.
Following the formalities and heartfelt speeches I kidnapped the happy couple once more to make sure we caught some images of golden hour. The results were absolutely stunning.
"Marc went above and beyond through every step of the process and created a series of beautiful pictures that really captures the essence of us as a couple and our day"
