I hate that expression; "self made"
I just think it is extraordinarily arrogant. I could never honestly refer to myself as a self made man.
It has all been the result from 40 plus years of interactions, conversations, wins, losses, ideas, successes and massive failures.
I have been a professional wedding photographer for over a decade and it was an adventure that started with a friends wedding in 2011.
From that moment to this one, there is a long list of events and adventures that have happened to create the artist I am now. There are far too many to list but they include an earthquake a battle with mental illness and a global pandemic.
I grew up in the South of England and my career before photography was one of customer service. From First Class airline cabins to working as a Chauffeur for a hair salon in West London.
I learned what it truly meant to be of service to people. Until 2011 photography was just a hobby, but when I photographed that first wedding I discovered passion for capturing wedding imagery.
As a self taught wedding photographer I am obsessed with my work and the creative process. This passion for what I do is reflected in my photographs.
Someone once asked me "Are you a good photographer?"
I replied "That's not for me to say, but I love it very much"

I was asked once why I shoot weddings and the answer is because you get to see the best of people. You get to witness first hand how wonderful humanity really is, how kind people are. You get to experience the wonderful capacity that we all have for love.
And I will let you in on a secret the more you experience it, the more you notice it in your everyday life. You look out for it and I see it everywhere. Trust me on this I know what I am talking about.
Wedding photography has given me so much, but I think the thing I am most grateful for is that I get to see and experience the very best of people.
